Answering an incoming call

Applies to vehicles: with car telephone kit or phone pre-installation
Important: There must be an incoming call.
Answering a call
Turn the rotary pushbutton to Answer and press to confirm, or
Press the control button for Answer.
Ignoring a call
Turn the rotary pushbutton to Ignore and press to confirm, or
Press the control button for Ignore.
Depending on whether the caller is stored in the directory and whether the telephone number is transmitted with the call, the name, the telephone number or Unknown will appear on the MMI display.
Note
  • You can answer an incoming call while you are already talking on the phone. The active telephone call will then be placed on hold automatically.
  • The audio source is muted automatically when you make or receive telephone calls. The mute symbol Fig. 2 will then appear in the status line.
  • If you do not want to hear any navigation cues while you are on the phone, simply switch off the route guidance Link.
  • You can also answer and ignore incoming calls using the multi-function steering wheel Link.
